VINYL DOUBLE ALBUM RELEASE ORDER NOW AND ALSO RECEIVE THE EXCLUSIVE 16 MINUTE REMIX OF "ON AND ON" IN WAV FORM BY WETRANSFER Iconic Groove will be offered in a limited edition high quality coloured pressing and a limited edition 180 grams Audiophile vinyl pressing. The release is a double vinyl release featuring special mixes to accomodate the shorter runtimes that vinyl offers. It has been cut using the Direct Metal Mastering process, mastered by Rinus Hooning from the original 24bit files. Runtime approxiamtely 79 mins. It will come with a bonus digital download of the entire double album in mp3 format by means of a download coupon. And for all that order here at Liebrand Audio, also a bonus 16 minute remix of On And On by Wetransfer. For the coloured pressing we are going to blend transparent vinyl with transparent blue vinyl and solid white toemulate the sky colors in the artwork. Each pressing will be unique and therefor each photo I could possibly show of a pressing will be different from the one you will receive. The image on the right is therefor an example of what we are aiming for.
See The Video In June I was invited to do the test cut for Iconic Groove. Rinus Hooning at the controls told me abou the many innovations and improvements that were made over the lastdecades. Since "Iconic Groove" has ample low-end, the choice was made to go for DMM, which stands for Direct Metal Mastering. The audio is cut directly into copper yielding a more precise result than the somewhat softer lacquer. From this metal disk, which by the way can be played on a record player, a "positve" is made and where the groove then ends up being a rill, like an edge sticking up from the surface. This is then the stamper used to press the vinyl. More on that will follow later!
