BACKGROUND INFO TO ALL LIFEFORMS UNFAMILIAR WITH DANCE MUSIC: This year it is 25 years ago since the first Grandmix. Within a particular country, there used to be just one dance list featuring the music that moved the dancing crowds best. From Pop through rap, house and uptempo, all was represented in one list. Now dance music offers many styles and flavours that all have their own following. And although people stay true to their style, these styles and their followers are no longer limited by borders or geological boundaries. So from all the dance music this year, many top100's can be compiled suiting many different tastes.
